I work primarily by building surfaces slowly through gesture and layering. Into the painted surface, I integrate hand-embroidered silk, gold detailing, and gemstones. These materials are not ornamental additions but symbolic anchors. A recurring element in my work is the illusion of a painted textile frame, which surrounds the image like a relic or offering, creating a passage between the physical and the unseen.
Collected experiences are the means by which emotional growth can be attained. In this painting I chose to represent said experiences with small intricate brushstrokes, coming all together like a woven tapestry to create an effect of a collective consciousness of memories. Butter- flies are a prominent motif in this painting, for in n Greek mythology the butterfly was used as a symbol of the psyche, and in this case the butterflies and their unique way of going through their evolution, a metamorphosis, is used to represent the journey one goes to attain his own growth. The main figure depicted here is trapped within an imaginary frame featuring a series of wild animals and creatures of our imagination, similar to a butterfly cocoon, preparing himself to burst open when the time comes.

Through soft brushstrokes my aims is to capture the quiet, vulnerable moment of solitude. This is when thoughts start to unravel and your mind drives slowly away to the land of thought. That is where reason and madness clash, depicted in this painting through the use of a striking green backdrop, almost radioactive looking. All of this is being contained within a painted imaginary frame featuring tigers, dragons, bats and other creatures of our imagination, which play the role of a guardian, or a spiritual guide commonly found in stories of Greek mythology.

The use of illusionary frames in my work serve as a metaphor to my own restrictions created from past hurtful experiences. Inside them I create a world of my own, where I am allowed to exist freely and live my truth.
The unicorn, a symbol of innocence and manhood fights against a serpent, a well known symbol for deception and desire, tangled around his front legs unabling him to more forward. This piece focuses on the inner struggles we came across on our daily lives, the fights we partake of discipline against desire, innocence against wickedness, who do we listen to, our heart or our mind, our instinct or the opinions of others, we often find ourselves feeling lost and is only until one of these battles is resolved that we come face to face with the consequence that follow.
Adorned with flower patterns and intricate gold details this painting is reminiscent of the garden of eden the place where trust was first broken, but it is also the place where life first appeared.

The myth of Medusa, a woman synonymous with fashion and female empowerment. The beautiful Gorgon, her tale filled with tragedy was never the monster portrayed in the myth but rather a misunderstood woman who even at the moment of her death continued to help humanity. Her blood from the right hand side of her body became a source of medicine so powerful that it could revive the dead and from her decapitated head Pegasus was born symbolising the ability to rise above earthly limitations and soar towards the divine.
The pegasus is painted being in a state of constant movement, through curved, wavy brushstrokes, highlighting the spiritual energy travelling through its vein. Around him gold details take the forms of birds, snakes and other fantastical creatures calling upon the spirit realm where freedom and spiritual transcendence can be achieved. All of which are being concealed by a group of snakes made from peace silk and labradorite, a highly mystical and protective stone making its connection to its mother Medusa even stronger.

Inspired by the stories my mom told me as a child from her child- hood when her father would go out hunting with his dogs, such well trained dogs they were, they would never act out on their own but always wait patiently for their owner to signal the comand. This can be seen clearly in this painting where the dog is looking far on the left waiting for the command. The rabbits are scattered, some are hidden behind the bushes others are running away from the dog, we do not know yet which one the dog will give chase but the outcome can be certain. Hunting becomes more than an act of violence, it’s an essential factor for both the dogs and the hunter survival and the approach which they take is what makes it noble.

A lobster is one of the few animals that is believed it could live forever. Through the use of fluid lines, vibrant shades of blue and intricate details the lobster is being shown in a state of spiritual transformation, not a simple animal but a symbol of people’s desire to surpass na- ture’s limitations to conquer the elusive state of immortality. Around it, a frame of blue flowers depicted in a state of constant movement, reminiscent of the sacrificial flower crowns bestowed upon offerings during the ancient Greek times.
Morpheus is the Greek god of dreams renowned for his ability as a shapeshifter. Adorned with gemstones and silk embroidery it pays homage to his Greek heritage by referencing traditional folk art techniques. Around him, a frame of mutated poppies painted through thick brushstroke as if in a state of blooming and adorned with multiple eyes which enable them to see all things in people’s dreams which will reveal their inner truth.

Phantasos is the son of Hypnos from Greek mythology and the god of the personification of inanimate objects in prophetic dreams. Placed center stage he surrounds himself with irises (the flower of wisdom) adorned with embroidered citrine stones, while holding a mask reminiscent of those used in ancient Greek and Japanese the- atre. It serves as a metaphor to the emotional state someone finds itself while dreaming, a place where it allows for their subconscious to take control and reveal their true feelings and thoughts which are usually being repressed and hidden behind a mask during daily activities. Around Phantasos a frame is formed by velvety iris with pearls embroidered within their delicately painted vines. It creates an over- lap between the painting and traditional dreamcatchers, intensifying the connection of the painting to the real of dreams.

At the centre of the painting we have a tiger, a fierce predator, only in this case she is not attacking but she is frightened for she is not the hunter but has become the hunted. If you pay close attention you will notice that she is surrounded by an array of pitfall trap plants tangled elegantly with each other while covered with semi precious stones speaking with gently words about how something so small and innocent in the eyes can hold such a power that could be deadly not only the flower itself, know to be a carnivorous plant, but to the power the gemstones possess which had helped built whole empires but also been the reason for their downfall.

Although Hermes originally was a well know god from Greek mythology and part of the twelve Olympian gods, in todays society it has been replaced by another symbol of worship, made from leather or other exotic skins such as crocodile the new Hermes is a deity built not on protection but rather on materiality, greed and vanity. Its purpose is not to protect but he is here to use people’s insecurities by promising them a better future. It a cautionary tale about what happens when humanity puts all its hope into a false god. Painted on the centre of the frame Hermes is taking the form of a hybrid between a crocodile and a bag highlighting its origin and ties to animal abuse while also bringing into the surface its connection to past deities which often would taker the form of animals. It is then surrounded by a painting of the original god Hermes from Greece painted in a manner similar to traditional Greek pottery linking back to its roots and to the ways in which gods have been worshiped through art and offerings, through gold and jewels, through pearls and citrine.

Hypnos the God of Sleep from Greek mythology and his twin brother Thanatos the God of Death, while showing only one figure without revealing whom you are looking upon highlights their connection between them for they are not opposites but an extension of each other,
Often depicted with one wing on the side of their head adorned in this variation with vegan silk embroidery and semi precious stones representing the dreams of a momentary or permanent sleep.
Ultimately they are surrounded by poppies, a soporific flower commonly associated with Hypnos, which also happens to be the main ingredient of Opium and subsequently associated with Thanatos as well
